    With eight Lake County communitiesalready banning smoking in public places,
    health officials workedTuesday to persuade North Chicago, Highwood and Green
    Oaks to considersimilar ordinances over bacon and eggs in Vernon Hills.

    The event, co-hosted by the Lake County Health Department and theAmerican
    Heart Association, was the first of three breakfast forumsscheduled as part of a
    goal to make Lake County smoke-free by the endof 2007.
